BAE Systems Australia Global Supply Chain Opportunities

The SEA5000 Program will oversee the acquisition of nine high-capability Future Frigates for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). These major surface combatants will be capable of Anti-Air Warfare (AAW), Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW), with a strong emphasis on Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW).

BAE Systems Australia is bidding for SEA 5000 with its Type 26 Global Combat Ship (GCS) design. The ships will be built in Adelaide, South Australia, with the first steel expected to be cut in 2020 and will be fitted with phased array radar systems being developed by Australia's CEA Technologies.

BAE Systems is inviting expressions of Interest from industry to help understand the maritime capability in Australia and maximise the commercial opportunities for suppliers. The Global Combat Ship is being offered to navies around the world.
