On 16 Oct 20, Naval Group Australia announced one of the largest workpackages EOI in recent history. This EOI represents a significant opportunity for long term work, with sustainment contracts on the program out into beyond 2050. All members are encouraged to consider expressing EOI. Naval Group Australia (NGA) is seeking Australia’s foremost advanced manufacturers with an Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Australian organisations to become Australian Capability Partners (ACP’s) that may manage and deliver several key submarine platform equipment. This includes manufacturing Naval Group designed Critical Submarine Equipment and Systems essential to the effective operation of the Future Submarine Program (FSP). This is a long term strategy providing Partnership opportunities which will span decades. NGA will regard the ACP’s as a key support to the Naval Shipbuilding Plan of building a sustainable and cost-competitive Australian industrial base. A Naval Group Australia ACP will be an experienced, high performing engineering business engaged to manage, manufacture and deliver a value for money sovereign solution.

ACP’s will be committing to:
• Agree to the commercial and contractual requirements of the Future Submarine Program
• Have gained or a plan to achieve NGA FSP minimum security & cyber requirement
• Have got, or be planning to have, security cleared staff in their workforce to handle classified information and assets
• Manufacture in Australia
• Demonstrate and apply experience of managing an Australian sovereign supply chain
• Agree to source from an NGA approved sovereign supply chain where applicable
• Demonstrate cost, capacity, resilience and business planning – agreement to regular future readiness reviews
• Willingness to receive and maintain Transfer of Technology projects to develop local capability and increase business know how
• Agree cost and profit structures
• Risk management collaboration
• Provide aftermarket sustainment service
• Provide product/sustainment/operator training and education
• Share knowledge and experience
• Accommodate Naval Group apprentice/occasional staff into organisation
